Meet the Teachers

Miss Maggie Purr ARAD RTS RAD Principal
Maggie Purr trained as a professional ballet dancer at Central School of Ballet, London. She has toured extensively throughout the world with Vienna Festival Ballet, the National Dance Company of Ireland and recently performed in the World Tour of Phantom of the Opera in Taipei, Hong Kong and Singapore.

She graduated from the RAD Teachers Certificate with distinction and has nine years of teaching experience, specializing in pre-school ballet. Maggie is currently studying her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Psychology and hopes to focus on movement therapy for children.

Maggie launched the hugely successful Twinkle Tots classes in Brisbane, Australia and is so excited to have brought her Twinkle Tots concept to the UK.

 
Miss Donya Ambler RAD CBTS  
Donya started dancing at the age of 2 and a half years old. By the age of 9, she was dancing with the European Ballet Company. She has danced Solo's with the BRB in productions such as Facade and Firebird. Donya currently teaches in several dance schools in the Berkshire area as well as studying at the RAD gaining a certificate in ballet teaching studies
   
Miss Louise Dolphin FDI ISTD

Miss Louise started dancing at a local dance school when she was 3 years old. At the age of 18, she continued her training at Italia Conti Arts Centre, London, which is one of the UK's most prestigious dance and performing arts institutions, graduating  in 2007 with a 3 year diploma in Teaching with Performing Arts, She performed in many shows including Chicago and Wicked.

Miss Louise is a fully qualified dance teacher. She holds her Foundation In Dance Instruction, 2008. and has 4 years experience teaching ballet in the Surrey area.  Louise has a current CRB Police Check, a full matrons licence, she is a registered chaperone, and a qualified first aider.
Louise now teaches at dance schools across Surrey and Berkshire and is furthering her dance teaching education to get her Certificate in Dance Education (CDE).
   
Miss Eleanor Forrest ARAD PDTD RAD RTS 
Eleanor was born on the Isle of Wight and trained at the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance before continuing her full time training at Central School of Ballet, London. She has been a freelance dancer for the past 10 years working with companies such as English National Ballet, English National Opera, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Vienna Festival Ballet, and Sadler’s Wells Theatre performing the classic ballets as well as more contemporary works.

During her career she has toured throughout the UK, Austria, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Dubai. Eleanor has recently completed the Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma at the Royal Academy of Dance.
   
Miss Charis O'Connor FDI ISTD

Charis O'Connor has been dancing since the age of 4, and started competing in the All England Dance Championships once she was 12. When she was 16, she won the All England Dance Championships for a  duet and came 2nd in her  solo. At 18 years old, Charis went to train professionally at Laine Theatre Arts where she received a national diploma in Dance. She also won the 2009 Laine Theatre Arts Dance Cup. Charis returned to Laine Theatre Arts in 2008 as one of the teaching faculty, teaching ballet to children from Primary to Grade 5.

Six weeks after graduating, Charis went on the Norwegian Cruise Lines "Spirit" as a ballet dancer/aerialist and also started working as an acrobat. Along side this, Charis is also an international high jumper and came 6th in the world at the World Youth Championships in 2005, competing for Great Britain and Northern Ireland Juniors. Like all our Twinkle Tots teachers, Charis is a fully qualified dance teacher, graduating from the Foundation of Dance Institution in 2008, and has a CRB police disclosure.  She is thrilled to be joining Twinkle Tots and is looking forward to being a part of the team.
Miss Antonia Hall BA (Hons) Drama

Antonia has always been passionate about performing arts and has a particular interest in Dance and Drama. She graduated from Arts Educational School, Tring in 2005 with a 2 year Performance and Musical Theatre Diploma. She then went on to gain her BA (Hons)in Drama at Winchester University and a Diploma in Acting from Guildford School of Acting (2005). She is currently studying for her Faculty of Dance instruction (FDI) and holds Imperial Society Teacher's of Dance Intermediate qualifications in both Ballet and Modern Dance.

Previous to Twinkle Tots Antonia taught dance for Winchester Theatre Royal, Baughurst Youth theatre and Stagecoach; and last summer was invited to the Frenchwoods Festival of the Performing Arts. New York as dance teacher and choreographer. Antonia says "I thoroughly enjoy performing, choreographing and sharing my interest of ballet with young people. I look forward to working with all the Twinkle Tots and Budding Ballerinas in the very near future!" Louise, like all Twinkle Tots Dance teachers holds her full CRB enhanced disclosure, and Public Liability insurance.
