Bringing the magic of dance to children
Sunningdale Summer School, 2nd-6th August 2010
For the third year running, Twinkle Tots Dance held it's very successful summer school at our Sunningdale venue. This year the children created their own 'fairytale', mixing up bits of classic fairytales and adding some of their own touches too. This included pirahna infested moats, and insisting on Miss Maggie being the wicked witch!  The children enjoyed making their own crowns and wands which they got to keep after the grand finale performance on the Friday, which was received very well by parents, friends and family.




New Saturday class opening in Windsor from September 2010
New Saturday Budding Ballerinas class (Age 4-5) will be opening from September at the Clewer Youth and Community Centre on Parsonage lane from 3:00 - 3:45pm. Please see our class venues page for address details. If you would like to book a place, please contact maggie@twinkletotsdance.com
Parents' Watching Week 13-19 July 2010
Parents Watching Week will be held on the last week of term which is from Tues 13 July to Mon19 July. Parents, friends and family please feel free to come along and see what your children have been working on this term.
Celebrating 10 years of Community Spirit at Windsor - June 2010
On the 5th June 2010, pupils from our Windsor Twinkle Tots classes performed an 'Under the Sea' dance, dancing as dolphins, fish and swans, to help celebrate the Clewer Youth and Community Centre's 10th anniversary. Clewer Youth and Community centre was the first Twinkle Tots venue. Miss Maggie opened there in November 2006 with 5 children! The performance was enjoyed by friends and family from the local community, and everybody had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Well done to Liliana Jandrell, Phoebe Bartlett, Amreece Ranu and Lowena Davey who took part in the performance, and to Miss Antonia and Miss Louise who choreographed and led the performance.




Sunningdale Pupils excel in RAD Ballet Exams - March 2010
In March, our oldest pupils at Sunningdale Academy of Dance took their Royal Academy of Dance exams. It involved a trip to Wargrave, a morning off school (very exciting!) and their hair being put in a real ballerina bun. All nerves were put aside, and the hard work paid off. Maria Pyne, Anna Sleigh and Hattie Pollitt were all awarded their Primary in Dance Class Award, receiving a medal, and a certificate. Isabelle Boaler, Esther Sleigh and Mariella Trickett all passed their Grade 1 Ballet with Merit. Congratulations go to all the girls, who worked very hard in the lead up to the exams, and all deserved the excellent results they received.




Miss Donya has a little girl, Layla Zante Keys! - 25 April 2010
On 25th April at 3.20am, Miss Donya gave birth to Layla Zante Keys. Both mother and baby are doing very well. Miss Donya will be bringing Layla in later on this term to say hello. I am pleased to announce that Miss Donya will be returning to teach for Twinkle Tots on Tuesdays from September. We will also be opening a new RAD Primary class on Tuesdays from 5.15-6pm for those girls who are ready to move up from Budding Ballerina's. We will be in touch later on in the term with more details.
