We’re very excited to announce that Twinkle Tots will be opening new Tap classes in Windsor in January. The classes will take place at our existing venue for ballet classes, The Clewer Youth and Community Centre, 39A Parsonage Lane, Windsor, SL4 5EW on Saturdays during term time.

We are opening classes for two age groups; ‘Twinkle Tappers’ for children age 3-4 and ISTD Pre-Primary Tap for children age 4-6. To book a trial class, please email info@twinkletotsdance.com or contact Maggie on 07828 857061. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We are pleased to offer a 25% discount on second classes/siblings.

Our new timetable for Saturdays beginning 14th January 2012 will be as follows:
Twinkle Tots Dance                     2:45 – 3:15pm
Twinkle Tappers (Age 3-4)          3:15 – 3:45pm

ISTD Pre-Primary Tap (Age 4-6)  3:45 – 4:15pm
Budding Ballerinas RAD Ballet     4:15 – 5:00pm

In July this year, Twinkle Tots entered 15 pupils into RAD ballet exams. Every pupil entered achieved a MERIT - Congratulations to you all! A special mention to Liliana Fleming – who is our first pupil to ever get a DISTINCTION. This was our largest exam session so far, and hopefully next time we will have enough pupils to do the session at our own Sunningdale Village Hall.

On Tuesday 14th December, Twinkle Tots Dance put on our first ever ballet show, Alice in Wonderland. Approximately 40 of our older pupils from Windsor and Sunningdale came together to perform to over one hundred people at Sunningdale Village Hall. For many of these pupils, it was their first taste of performing. Putting on costumes and stage make up, and remembering their steps in front of such a large audience, was quite an achievement for such young children. They all danced beautifully and did themselves proud.

Thank you to Miss Eleanor, Miss Charis, Miss Louise and Miss Donya for choreographing the dances. Thank you to all those parents and grandparents who helped put out chairs, and do the children's hair and make up. And finally thank you to all the parents who donated money at the door, raising £85.95 for Children in Need. We certainly had a lot of fun putting on this production, and hope it will become a regular fixture in our Twinkle Tots calendar! Please see more pics on the Gallery page.

Parents Watching Week will be held on the last week of term which is from Monday 13 December to Saturday 18 December 2010. Parents, friends and family please feel free to come along and see what your children have been working on this term.

We're very excited to announce that our older Budding Ballerinas and RAD pupils will be performing their first school show, Alice in Wonderland, on Tuesday 14 December from 6:15-6:45pm at the Sunningdale Village Hall, Church Road, Sunningdale, SL5 0NJ. Children from Windsor, Sunningdale and Twickenham will be invited to be involved. Parents, friends and family are all welcome to come along and support!

For the third year running, Twinkle Tots Dance held it's very successful summer school at our Sunningdale venue. This year the children created their own 'fairytale', mixing up bits of classic fairytales and adding some of their own touches too. This included pirahna infested moats, and insisting on Miss Maggie being the wicked witch!  The children enjoyed making their own crowns and wands which they got to keep after the grand finale performance on the Friday, which was received very well by parents, friends and family.

On the 5th June 2010, pupils from our Windsor Twinkle Tots classes performed an 'Under the Sea' dance, dancing as dolphins, fish and swans, to help celebrate the Clewer Youth and Community Centre's 10th anniversary. Clewer Youth and Community centre was the first Twinkle Tots venue. Miss Maggie opened there in November 2006 with 5 children! The performance was enjoyed by friends and family from the local community, and everybody had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Well done to Liliana Jandrell, Phoebe Bartlett, Amreece Ranu and Lowena Davey who took part in the performance, and to Miss Antonia and Miss Louise who choreographed and led the performance.

In March, our oldest pupils at Sunningdale Academy of Dance took their Royal Academy of Dance exams. It involved a trip to Wargrave, a morning off school (very exciting!) and their hair being put in a real ballerina bun. All nerves were put aside, and the hard work paid off. Maria Pyne, Anna Sleigh and Hattie Pollitt were all awarded their Primary in Dance Class Award, receiving a medal, and a certificate. Isabelle Boaler, Esther Sleigh and Mariella Trickett all passed their Grade 1 Ballet with Merit. Congratulations go to all the girls, who worked very hard in the lead up to the exams, and all deserved the excellent results they received.
